"HIGH COUNTRY" is a collaborative endeavour between myself and musician David D'Angelo. The creative spark that ignited the project was an inspirational revelation on the part of David about the lifestyle of the High Country cattlemen. The derivative concept and storyline are the result of my imagination and extrapolation of that chance discussion.

In the ensuing development, David contributed most of the musical content, although I wrote the lyrics and suggested the basic melody for five of the songs. David further enhanced these basic melodies. The actual scripting and the placing and distribution of the songs are my work.

The two expositional and backgounding textual pieces further below serve to show the quantum leap from the factual to the fictional based on my subsequent research.

"HIGH COUNTRY" was given the 'thumbs-up' by a producer and an editor in the theatre world and literary sphere respectively, but I was cautioned that getting a new musical off the page in Australia would not be easy. They were right! However, I'm thinking of updating the storyline, and giving it another go at some time in the future.

The following additional musical pieces and textual information are intended to serve as an overview of the project.
